Qualifications:

•     Completion of “Best Practices for Environmental Cleaning in Healthcare” training an asset

•     Education and understanding of Infection Control and Hand Hygiene required

•     Excellent knowledge of WHIMS and Material safety Data Sheets

•     Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12)

 

Required Skills:

 

•     Minimum six months’ housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting within the last three

       years.

 

Abilities:

 

•     Excellent knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling of chemicals is

       required.

•     Flexible, self-directed and organized

•     Good attendance and work record is essential

•     Must be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills.

•     Must be able to work all shifts

•     Must be physically able to perform repetitive tasks on a continual basis, able to walk and

       stand for long period of time as well as the ability to push, pull, lift and move moderately

       heavy objects
